SUBCONTRACTOR SITE REGISTRATION & SAFETY INDUCTION

Welcome to your Surepaint jobsite

This registration is for subcontractors and their workers. Every person must register individually using their own details.

1. Confirm the jobsite. Search by street address and check that the selected site matches the work your business has agreed to carry out.

2. Read the WHS plan. Open the Surepaint WHS management plan. Resolve any access problems or questions before acknowledging.

3. Review the agreed work and safety controls. The subcontractor organises and supervises its crew against the agreed purchase-order scope. Before work starts, review the project PSEA and applicable SWMS, and coordinate site access, hazards and emergency arrangements with the Surepaint site contact.

4. Complete your own registration. Enter your details, provide the requested photo, and complete your own acknowledgement and signature. The subcontractor must ensure every member of its crew completes induction and understands the relevant work controls before starting.

5. Follow the controls and report changes. Keep the applicable documents available. If a control is missing or work cannot be done safely, stop the affected work and notify your PCBU or crew lead and the Surepaint site contact. Resolve the issue and confirm the controls before restarting.

No induction, no start. Registration alone does not authorise work. Individual induction, the site briefing, applicable SWMS review and required controls must be completed first.

For site safety or access questions, contact your PCBU or crew lead and the Surepaint site contact. In an emergency, call 000.

READ BEFORE REGISTERING

Subcontractor and worker acknowledgement

By submitting this registration, I confirm that:

  • The details and signature are my own, and I have selected the correct jobsite street address.

  • I have read Surepaint’s WHS management plan and raised any questions or access problems before acknowledging.

  • Before starting work, I will complete the site briefing and review the project PSEA and SWMS relevant to the agreed work scope. I will ask my PCBU or crew lead about any work method I do not understand and raise site safety or access issues with the Surepaint site contact.

  • I will work within my training, competence and required licences; follow the agreed SWMS, site rules and emergency arrangements; and use the required safety equipment.

  • I will report hazards, incidents, near misses and changed conditions promptly. I will stop affected work if it cannot be done safely, notify my PCBU or crew lead and the Surepaint site contact, and confirm the controls before restarting.

Responsibilities of the subcontracting business (PCBU)

The subcontractor is responsible for organising and supervising its contracted work and for providing its workers with the training, instruction, supervision, PPE, safe equipment and safe systems of work needed for that work. It must ensure every crew member is inducted, understands the relevant SWMS and follows the controls.

If I am the PCBU or its authorised representative, I acknowledge these responsibilities on behalf of the subcontracting business. A worker registering individually is acknowledging their own responsibilities.

Surepaint coordinates site access and overlapping safety matters. If unsafe work or a missing control is identified, the affected work must stop, the subcontractor must address the issue, and the corrective action and checks must be recorded before restart.

This registration is one part of the safety record. It does not establish that a briefing or SWMS review has occurred, and it does not transfer or remove any duty holder’s WHS obligations.
